The first event on the Formula One calendar, the F1 Australian Grand Prix is a huge deal, with the race control room serving as its mission-critical command center. With officials required to track driver speeds, monitor the weather, and manage potential emergencies, the 2012 control room was outfitted with a 12-monitor video wall, powered by Matrox Mura MPX controller boards. Displaying content from 42 inputs in one convenient location, it constituted a stunning, yet affordable solution, meeting even the Australian Grand Prix Corporation’s strictest requirements.
