Choose Quad Core or Six Core

renderBOXX gives you the option of four quad core Intel® Xeon™ 5600 Series processors (16 cores in all)  or four six core Intel Xeon 5600 Series processors (24 cores in all) essential for rendering intensive 3D graphics and animation.

Do More with Less

The 24 core option features up to 50% more processing power than a quad core model without a 50% increase in price. More good news: despite the additional cores and improved performance of the 24 core renderBOXX, the density and energy requirements remain the same. To understand what this means for your render farm, think of it this way: if you rely on quad core processors in order to obtain the rendering power of 80 processing cores, you have to purchase five renderBOXX modules. With six core processor technology, you get 96 cores (an increase of 16) in only four renderBOXX modules!
With fewer modules, space and energy requirements actually decrease. In addition to better efficiency, the 24 core renderBOXX provides the ultimate performance for heavily threaded applications like V-Ray®, mental ray®, Autodesk® Showcase® and others.[:]
