The special effects of “Matomena Homata” Alpha tv with Fusion5
[:el]Τα ειδικά εφέ της τηλεοπτικής σειράς του Alpha «Ματωμένα Χώματα» με Fusion5 της eyeon.
Την Παρασκευή 10 Οκτωβρίου 2008 προβλήθηκε το πρώτο επεισόδιο της σειράς του Alpha «Ματωμένα Χώματα» σε σκηνοθεσία του Κώστα Κουτσομύτη. Στο επεισόδιο εντυπωσίασαν τα εφέ που δημιούργησαν οι κ.κ. Αντώνης Νικολάου και Χρήστος Κουτρουλός. Οι δυο τους συνεργάστηκαν στενά για το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα των επεισοδίων σε compositing και Matte Paints αντίστοιχα, και αναμένεται η τηλεοπτική σειρά να εντυπωσιάσει τους τηλεθεατές, ενώ από ότι φαίνεται ήδη αγγίζει τα όρια της υπερπαραγωγής.
Ο Αντώνης Νικολάου, συνεργάτης του AMY Digital Video, έχει την ευθύνη και πλήρη εποπτεία των γυρισμάτων στην προβλήτα του Φλοίσβου, όπου και στήθηκε το μεγαλύτερο green screen για την ελληνική τηλεόραση μέχρι σήμερα. Χρησιμοποίησε το Fusion5 της eyeon Software Inc. για το compositing σε όλα τα HD πλάνα, ενώ μέχρι και το 6ο επεισόδιο της σειράς χρειάστηκε να γίνει επέμβαση σε τουλάχιστον 100 πλάνα. Ο Χρήστος Κουτρουλός είναι υπεύθυνος για τη δημιουργία των Matte Paints όπου χρειάστηκε πολλές φορές να γίνει συνδυασμός φωτογραφιών και paints.
«Το Fusion5 απέδειξε τις ισχυρές δυνατότητές και τη σταθερότητά του σε πολύ βαριά projects με δυναμικά trackers, keyers, animated masks και soft masks. Για μας αυτό το project θεωρείται άθλος καθώς σε πολύ σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα από τις 10 Αυγούστου, είχαμε να στήσουμε τόσο μεγάλο setup green και να επεξεργαστούμε μετά πληθώρα πλάνων, χωρίς όμως να στερούμαστε το καλύτερο δυνατό αποτέλεσμα» όπως μας δήλωσε ο Αντώνης Νικολάου.

On October 10 2008 the first episode of television series “Matomena Homata” was broadcasted at Alpha tv directed by Kostas Koutsomitis. The very impressive effects of the episodes were created by Mr. Antonis Nikolaou and Mr. Christos Koutroulos. The two worked together closely for the better result of the effects in the episodes in compositing and Matte Paints respectively, and it is expected that the series will impress the television viewers this season, as it is considered to be one of the most expensive productions for the Greek television standards.
Antonis Nikolaou, who is collaborator of AMY Digital Video, is the responsible person for the complete monitoring of shootings, where the biggest green screen for the Greek television up to today was setup. Antonis used Fusion5 for compositing all HD scenes, and until the 6th episode of the series he had to prepare at least 100 shootings. Christos Koutroulos is the person in charge for the creation of Matte Paints where many times he needed to combine both photographs and painting.
“The Fusion5 proved the powerful possibilities and its stability in very heavy projects with dynamic trackers, keyers, animated masks and soft masks. For us this project is considered to be a feat as in a very short time since 10 August, we had to set up such a big green screen setup and we processed afterwards over 100 shots, without falling short of the very best possible result” as Antonis Nikolaou commented.
AMY Digital Video, reseller of eyeon Software Inc. in Greece, allocates Fusion5 in the Greek market and its upgrades while in short time it will circulate the new Fusion6. Fusion6 will feature apart from clean quality of picture in multiple platforms and a lot of new characteristics and improvements of 5 while it will be available for Linux, Windows x64, Windows 32bit desktop PCs and Intel-based Macs platforms.
