[:el]World Leader in Laser Projection to Celebrate 10 Years at ISE with World’s First 8K DLP Laser Projector and Brand New 2D & 3D LED Display Solution
Digital Projection announced it will unveil two brand new products at the 2018 edition of ISE (Amsterdam RAI, 6-9 February 2018, stand 1-F70), where the company will proudly celebrate 10 years at the show. Building on its reputation as a world-class innovator in the projection space, the British manufacturer will preview the world’s first 8K laser projector: the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K. Harnessing its vast experience in visual solutions, the company will launch the Radiance LED video wall – expanding its offering beyond projection to offer more resolution, pixels and possibilities than ever before.
A world preview at ISE 2018 – the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K projector
Set to be the world’s first commercially available DLP® laser 8K projector, the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K sits in a class of its own when it comes to performance. Providing an ultra-high 8K resolution (7680 X 4320) of 33-million pixels through 25,000 ANSI lumens of solid-state laser-phosphor illumination, the new flagship projector is the ultimate solution for the most elaborate medical, scientific and immersive visualisation and large-venue applications. In addition to the resolution and lumen performance, it uses proven DLP technology incorporating 3x 1.38″ DarkChip™ DMD™ chips and Digital Projection’s ColorMax™ technology to ensure superb colour accuracy and black levels. These are especially vital imaging characteristics when matching projectors in tiled or blended applications.
From simulation and visualisation projects requiring unmatched details, to elite entertainment venues that demand the most immersive experience through large-scale imagery, the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K provides a new performance benchmark in the industry. Lamp replacements are never required due to the solid-state laser illumination system. By eliminating regular lamp replacement cycles, system operation is never interrupted, making long-term maintenance costs virtually non-existent. This means dramatically lower cost of ownership over the lifespan of the projector.
Other key benefits of laser illumination include the simplification of blending multiple projectors, as laser projectors are closely matched “out of the box” for colour and brightness, with predictable and stable brightness providing close tracking in matched systems over the long-term. Featuring MultiAxis orientation capability of portrait or landscape use and every angle in between, the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K also boasts a multitude of optional high-performance lenses, ensuring it serves as a powerful and flexible imaging tool for venues requiring the most incredible projection solution, regardless of the installation footprint. The new flagship product from Digital Projection is expected to ship in Q3 2018.
Digital Projections-ISE2018-LaserThe INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K will be on stand alongside Digital Projection’s full spectrum of award-winning solid-state projectors from 1-Chip to 3-Chip DLP and with resolutions ranging from WUXGA up to 8K, including Digital Projection’s E-Vision Laser and HIGHlite Laser products. Also showcased on the stand will be the M-Vision Laser 18K – a popular choice in rental and staging and the most flexible projector in its class – which has been shortlisted in the Technology for Entertainment and Live Events category of the forthcoming InAVation Awards. It is joined by partner D.J. Willrich in the Visitor Attraction Project category for the Mail Rail at the Postal Museum installation which features Digital Projection’s laser solutions.

Expanding elite display solutions line with the Narrow Pixel Pitch Radiance 2D & 3D LED video wall
As an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance display solutions, Digital Projection will take the ISE opportunity to launch Radiance LED to the European market, a new range of 120Hz and 3D capable Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) LED panels ranging from 1.26 to 2.53mm.
With four models to choose from (Radiance LED 1.2, 1.5, 1.9 and 2.5), the new Black SMD LED range offers up to 1,000 nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a 120Hz refresh rate. With lifetime rated at 50,000 hours, Digital Projection’s new Radiance LED is built on a native 16:9 aspect ratio and is therefore able to achieve full HD 1080p imagery and Ultra-HD 4K, making it the ideal solution for various installations including retail, broadcast, command & control, visitor attraction, house of worship as well as rental entertainment applications.
Digital Projection’s fine-pitch LED wall solutions display bright and vivid imagery thanks to a broad dynamic range and high colour bit-depth. They also provide a wide 160-degree viewing angle for maximum visibility and a fan-less panel design for silent operation. Radiance LED walls are also rated for 24/7 operation and can be configured with power and signal redundancy for mission critical applications.
Radiance LED also offers an installation and service friendly design. Each panel is front-service accessible allowing for a slim installation profile and efficient maintenance. This makes it possible to service any panel within the display without disrupting the alignment of any other panel. To guarantee the best possible installation, Digital Projection’s Concierge Service is available to complement every Radiance LED deployment by offering customers assistance from initial concept and engineering assessment to final installation and calibration.
The 1.5mm pixel pitch 3D capable Radiance LED will be presented on stand, while other resolutions are also currently shipping.
Chris Axford, International Sales & Marketing Director from Digital Projection, comments: “We’re excited to be celebrating a decade of presence at ISE with two fantastic new product launches to enhance and expand our already successful range. The INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation in the solid-state laser projection space – setting an industry standard once again, while the Radiance LED video wall solution uses our expertise in display solutions and channels it into new technologies. We welcome current and new customers along to see these innovative additions for themselves at what is set to be our biggest and best ISE yet.”
